Dear
Friends,
Because of
many delays in the Messianic Bible project moving forward, Dr.
Brown gave Zev Isaacs his resignation as General Editor earlier
this year (2007). However, Zev informed Dr. Brown that he believes
that he is the man to get the Bible project completed and Zev
encouraged him to move forward with it when his schedule permits.
Zev also informed Dr. Brown that he does not plan to finish the
project himself, putting it in Dr. Brown’s hands.
It is Dr. Brown’s
hope that, in the future, he and an editorial team will be able
to get the Messianic Bible completed, and there are other Jewish
ministries who have expressed interest in potentially helping
with that project as well. However, no work is being done on it
at present, and Dr. Brown is not soliciting any funds for the
work at this point in time. (Dr. Brown had no control of the funds
that came in for the project through Zev Isaacs , and so he cannot
account for what happened to money given to Zev Isaacs’s
ministry. While gifts for outreach ministry are always welcome
at ICN, we want to emphasize that we are not presently soliciting
contributions for the Bible project.)
During the last five
years, Dr. Brown has been able to compile a substantial amount
of material that will help undergird the Bible project –
including 1,500 pages of material on answering Jewish objections
to Jesus – and he believes in the importance of getting
such a reference Bible completed. He encourages all those who
are interested to pray for God’s grace on the work and to
believe with him that the work will resume and be brought to completion
in the not too distant future.
Thank you for your
interest in reaching the lost sheep of the house of Israel!
The ICN Staff, on behalf
of Dr. Michael L. Brown
